Overview

Tilicho Lake Trek is one of those trip where trekkers will be fantasized with the beautiful landscapes and view of mountains over 8000m such as Mount Fishtail, Mount Annapurna, Mount Manaslu, Mount Dhaulagiri and other white peaks. Tilicho Lake is regarded as the highest lake in the world (5200m) and also operated with a trip name of Frozen Lake Trek.

Tilicho Lake Trek will be accompaigned with the visits to many Buddhist Monasteries and Hindu Temples. Trekkers would also be able to visit famous Pilgrimage Hindu Temple of Muktinath. With this trip, you will also be know and understand the culture and livings of Manang village people and Gurung village people. All-in-all, this trek can be defined as a combination of adventures and cultures present in Nepal.

Price Includes

  • Land transportation, airport pickup and drop by private car / van / tourist bus.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival In Nepal

We highly suggest that you arrive in Nepal at least one full day before the intended date of your trek as it will give you an opportunity to allow for any jetlag and purchase any trekking and climbing items here in Kathmandu. Our representative will receive you at the airport and take you to Three Star Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Note: Hotel will be as per your request, budget to deluxe. So please let us know your requirement.

Day 2Drive to Pokhara (910m/2986ft.) for 6 hours by bus. Overnight at a 3 star Hotel.

Day 3Four hour ride on a bus to Besi Sahar (760m) through the scenic river side. Another two and half hour drive to Chamje. Note: During Autumn and winter season, if you have tight schedule, we directly drive for 5 hours from Besi Sahar to Chame saving you a day in itinerary.

Day 4Trek to Dharapani for 5 to 6 hours.

Day 5Trek to Chame for 5 to 6 hours.

Day 6Trek to Pisang (3200m) for 5 to 6 hours.

Day 7Trek to Manang for 5 to 6 hours.

Day 8Rest and acclimatization day. Visit Gangapurna lake and the clinic; get information about the altitude sickness. If you have any problems get some medicine.

Day 9Trek for three hours to Khangsar (3.750m).

Day 10Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4.200m) for 5 hours.

Day 11Early morning trek to Tilicho Lake and back to Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 12Trekking to Yak kaharke.

Day 13Trek to Throng Phadi. A slow hike for 6 hours.

Day 14Trek to Muktinath via Throng La pass (5416m). Approximately 8-9 hours of ascending and descending hike.

Day 15Either trek for six hours through the village of Kagbeni to Jomsom. Overnight at Guest House. OR, Take a jeep ride from Muktinath to Jomsom for two and half hours. Ride a bus to Tatopani for 4 hours and enjoy the natural hot spring. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 16A bus ride from Jomsom to Beni for 5 hours and change another bus at Beni for a 3 hour ride to Pokhara. OR, A bus ride from Tatopani to Beni for 2 hours and change another bus at Beni for a 3.5 hour ride to Pokhara. OR, if you are in Jomsom, fly out to Pokhara.

Day 17Take a ride back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Approximately 6 hours journey. Overnight at 3 star Hotel.

Day 18After breakfast transfer to the Airport for departure. Fly home with sweet memory of Nepal.
