Mount Kailash is known as a holy site among Hindu, Bon, Buddhist, and Jain. It is believed to be the ultimate destination of souls and the spirit of the whole World. Mt Kailash is also believed, the residence of Lord Siva’s “The God of all Gods” and Lake Manasarovar is the soul of Brahma in Hinduism.
Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu (1300 m.) arrival and transfer to Hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Tour Preparation
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Kerung (2900 m.) 175 K.M.
Day 4: Day rest in Kerung
Day 5: Kerung to Saga (4450 m.) via Labung La (5050 m.) 245 K.M.
Day 6: Saga to Manasarover (4558 m.) 500 K.M.
Day 7: Ritual Puja and drive to Tarchen (4565 m.)
Day 8: Walk to Dehara Puk (5000 m.) 18 K.M. 7 hrs.
Day 9: Dolma La (Pass) 5670 M.
Day 10: End of Mt. Kailash Parikrama (Kora) walk 2 hrs. Drive to Dongba via Darchen.
Day 11: Drive from Dongba to Kerung 5:30 hours (270 K.M.)
Day 12: Drive from Kerung to Kathmandu (175 K.M.)
Day 13: Transfer to Airport or future activities.
Itinerary
Arrival at Kathmandu Int'l airport and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight stay at a Hotel in Kathmandu.
After Breakfast, a Sightseeing trip to temples and a drive back to the Hotel for lunch. After lunch, final preparation for your trip to Mt. Kailash. Dinner at the Hotel.
Early Morning drive to Kerung. We will provide you with a packed breakfast on the way and Lunch at the Nepal/China border. Walk for 10 minutes to cross the bridge. After the accomplishment, all the immigration and customs formalities were met by the Chinese guide and Bus drivers, then proceeded the journey to Kerung. Arrival at Kerung and overnight stay in a Hotel.
Rest Day at Kerung (2,900 m.): It is more a day for acclimatization.
Saga/ 4450 m. or Dongba: (Labug-La 5050 m., Peku-tso, and Saga, on the first long driving day over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet, other sites like a lake, nomads chasing thousands of yaks and sheep, keep you busy. By the late afternoon, you will cross the Bhramha Purtra River on the way to typical Chinese and Tibetan towns. Overnight in Saga.
The longest driving day starts full of excitement, Jeeps and trucks roll on the wide valley following rivers and grazing land of yaks and sheep. Far south, you can see snow-covered peaks nearby, lots of rocky peaks, and sand dunes, which give you an ideal world. Depending on the season, nomads and other mobile shopkeepers are attired in beautiful traditional costumes, waiting for your arrival with hot tea and other supplies, along with a big smile. By the late afternoon, you can have the first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovar. Hore is a small village near Lake Manasarovar. Holy-Manasarovara: At 14950ft/ 4558 m. The highest lake of freshwater with a turquoise complexion in the world is full of fish and swans. Holy Kailash Parbat, Mt. Gurula-Mandata, and Lake Rashekshi lie in its surroundings. The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs, and hundreds of wild living creatures. Night halt beside Manasarovar.
Ritual (Puja) at Manasarovar and drive to Tarchen Manasarovar is the lake of compassion, tranquility, and bliss. After completing the memorable morning Bath and Puja, we will be heading towards Tarchen. It is considered a base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama.
Trek to Dehara Puk. It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feel the Great God Shiva is everywhere, with tons of blessings for you. From time to time, the face of Kailash Parbat will keep on appearing. For an 18 km trail, it takes almost 7 hrs.
Hardest but Holiest day of your pilgrimage Yatra with Dolma-La (pass) of 18600 ft between two valleys: Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-Sthal, here there is the symbolical death, Pilgrimages leave the Old clothes, spin of hair or a drop of Blood in hope, that terrible Yamraja (The master of death) will attend to these signs and will allow the Yatries (travelers) to be born in spirit to pass Dolma- La. The pass associates Buddhists with the goddess Container, and Hindus with Parvati, the divine wife misters Shiva. On the pass, tourists and pilgrims hang out the Tibetan flags, On success. While your steps go closer to the pass, once you reach the top, just do the holiest offerings and sit down for meditation to forget yourself. Once your steps go down, Parvati-Sthal and Gauri Kunda are on the way. By the late afternoon, you will arrive at Zuthal Puk (the cave of Miracles. The great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have performed miracles here.
End of Kailash Parikrama and drive to Dongba
After a short trek (2 hrs) and reaching the point where the coach will be waiting, we will drive to Darchen and merge with other members who were waiting, and drive to Dongba. Overnight stay at the Guest house in Dongba.
Drive back to Kerung 270 km / 5.5 hrs. Overnight stay at the Guest house.
Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight rest at the hotel.
Airport transfer for onward destination or end of the tour.
