The Buddhist Circuit of Nepal is a complete tour package that covers all the significant places related to Lord Buddha in Nepal. Actually, you can say that this tour is a visual aid to Buddha’s life and the development of Buddhism in Nepal. You will be able to know about Buddha’s detailed information, his birthplace, the place of his enlightenment, and his teachings. Although this is mainly a pilgrimage tour, you will also be able to see the great archaeological victory of mankind. There are 62 archaeological sites in Lumbini Region exhibiting different event’s in Buddha’s life.

Buddhist influences are evident in the culture of Nepal because Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal and his clans – the Shakyas later moved to Kathmandu valley and helped establish Buddhism.

The main attractions of this tour are Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath and Namobuddha in Kathmandu, the great Ashoka Pillar, Sacred Pond, and Temple of lords, Maya Devi Temple and remains of Old monastery in Lumbini, religious and archaeological sites at Devdaha and Ramagram.

Overview

Buddhist circuit, Nepal, and the trip is designed for Buddhist devotees and all interested travelers covering the important paths of Buddha including all major holy and historical sites; Kathmandu monasteries, Namo Buddha, Lumbini in Nepal where he was born, lived as a prince. We also visit the beautiful city of Pokhara. You are free to participate or not in prayers, rituals, and meditation.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Day 2: Fly to Bhairahawa, Lumbini.

Day 3: Sightseeing tour at ancient Kapilvastu.

Day 4: Drive to Pokhara

Day 5: Sunrise & Pokhara Valley Sightseeing.

Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu.

Day 7: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day  8: Namobuddha and Bhaktapur visit.

Day 9: Final departure.

Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuban international airport Kathmandu. A representative from our company receives and transfers you to Hotel.

Flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa for Lumbini. Visit Lumbini Mayadevi Temple, the Sacred Garden for SUNSET, at the Birth Place of Sakyamuni Buddha. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Tilaurakot (the capital of the Sakya kingdom of Kapilavastu) Kudan (the ancient Nyagrodha monastery built by King Suddhodana for the Buddha and his community who visited Kapilavastu for the first time after enlightenment) Gotihawa (the nirvana stupa of Krakuchhanda Buddha where Emperor Asoka erected a pillar and built a stupa) Niglihawa (the birthplace of the Kanakamuni, here emperor Asoka visited and erected a pillar with inscription). And stay overnight at Hotel.

Drive to Pokhara on the way to visit Rama Grama. The only original relic stupa built by the Koliya of Rama Grama. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Early morning drive to Sarangkot to see Sunrise and at the same time panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. Afternoon Pokhara sightseeing tour. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Departure for Kathmandu by the drive and enjoy the river valley and greenery hills.

Full day sightseeing of Monkey Temples Swoyambhunath Stupa & Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square & evening walking around Old Thamel Market. Overnight at Hotel.

Full day Sightseeing Tour of Namo Buddha and drive to Nagarkot (Hill Station). O/N at Hotel.

Day 9 :
Departure

Final departure for your onward destination.
