Overview

Helambu trek in the Langtang region is recognized by most trekkers for its scenic grandeur and pleasant climate and is rated as an easier trek as the elevations are lower ranging between 800 m. to 3600 m. One of the advantages of the Helambu trek is that there are fewer trekkers here than in the region like Annapurna and Everest, but there is still a wide range of cultures and spectacular scenery to view.

Langtang Helambu trek is an easy and enjoyable destination to trek which doesn’t require any special training but would be much better if one is in good physical condition and who loves to walk with an innermost desire to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains and the village life of Helambu, Langtang region.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Sundarijal, trek to Chisapani

Day 2: Chisapani to Kutumsang

Day 3: Kutumsang to Thadepati

Day 4: Thadepati to Melamchi Ghyang

Day 5: Melamchi Ghyang to Shermathang

Day 6: Shermanthang to Melamchi Bazar and Drive to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani. Overnight at Lodge.

Trek 7 hours to Kutumsang via Gul Bhanjyang (2470m) and overnight at Lodge.

Trek to Thadepati via Mangengoth (3597m) and overnight at Lodge.

Trek downhill to Melamchi Ghyang (Gumba).

Trek to Shermathang.

Trek 4 to 5 hours down to Melamchi Bazar (2740m) and take a 5-hour bus ride to Kathmandu via Dhulikhel. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Cost Includes:

  • Land transportation from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and Melamchi to Kathmandu by coach.
  • Standard accommodation at Lodges/ Guesthouses along the trail.
  • Foods (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) while on the trek.
