The TIJI (Ten Chi) Festival is the most auspicious festival in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal. Dorje Jono fought and defeated this demon and the festival celebrates his victory with prayer chants and colorful dances. Chhode Monastery at Lo Manthang in Upper Mustang is famous for its performance of Vajrakila practice and ritual.

Day 1: Drive Pokhara to Kagbeni via Marpha

Itinerary

It is almost brushing the sides of the mighty Kali Gandaki river gorge and the massive Dhaulagiri mountain along the way up. As you go up, the landscape changes from the lush greenery of the Pokhara area to the barren, rocky terrain of Mustang. Your road follows the Kali Gandaki. Stay overnight at Lodge.

After breakfast formality to enter Upper Mustang trek to Chele via Tangbe & Chhusang. And trek onward to Chele and stay overnight at Lodge.

Trek from Chele to Syangboche (3800m.) via Chunsi Cave and Samer (3660m.) and enjoy the view of the Mountain. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Trek from Syangboche to Ghami (3500m.) via Ghiling (3570m.), Nyi La Pass (4090m.). Overnight stay at Ghami.

Trek from Ghami to Charang (3500m) via Drakmar see red wall, Muila Bhangyang Pass (4170m), and Ghar Gompa. Overnight stay.

Late noon first-day Tiji festival began the First day observe TIJI Festival Lo-Manthang (3840m.) Overnight stay at Lo-Manthan.

On the second day observe TIJI Festival Lo-Manthang (3840m.). Before the festival starts visit to Three Monastery visit. Wall Thanka art. Overnight stay at Lo Manthang.

Trek Lo- Manthang (3750m) to Dhigaon (3390m). 5-6 hours. Overnight stay at Dhigaon.

Trek Dhigaon to Tangge (3240). 5-6 hours. Overnight stay at Tangge.

Trek Tangge (3240) to Chhuksang (29800m). Overnight stay at Chhuksang.

Trek from Chhusang to Muktinath (3,710 m), Gyu La Pass (4077m.). Overnight stay at Muktinath.

Trek Muktinath to Thini Via Lupra (2800m). Overnight stay at Thini.

Trek Thini to Jomsom (2720m) for ½ hours, and Drive Jomsom to Pokhara.
