Mardi Himal trek is a hidden gem. This is a newly opened trek route, spectacularly situated at the base of Mardi Himal and the impressive Machhapuchhre.

Panchase is the solid panoramic trek, that is getting popularity as being one of the shortest treks from Pokhara offering great views of the longest chain of the mountain range: Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna South, Mt Hiuchuli, Mt Lamjung, Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Manaslu, Fish Tail Mountain is locally known as Machhapuchhre and many others. From the top of Panchase, Mt Fishtail seems to be cuddled by Mt. Annapurna in her arms.

Overview

This trek combines the two popular and new trekking routes (Panchase + Mardi), of Nepal into one short and very beautiful trek in Nepal!

Day 1 :

Pokhara to Bhumdi (1600 m) 5 Hrs.

Drive from Pokhara to Peace Stupa and trek to the beautiful village of Bhumdi.

Day 2 :

Bhumdi to Panchase (2030 m.) 6-7 Hrs.

Trek to Panchase Bhanjyang through the Rhododendron forest area observing beautiful Mountain views all the time.

Day 3 :

Panchase to Australian Camp (2030 m.) 5 Hrs.

The next day we trek to Australian Camp via Kande, see the beautiful sunset at Australian Camp and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Australian Camp to Forest Camp (2660 m.)

Trek to forest camp. We follow the ridge all the time and watch views of Modi Khola valley on the left, and Mardi Khola on the right. We get a closer view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal. It is a quiet trail along the forest of rhododendron and pine trees. Overnight at forest camp (Kokar). Kokar, a local name, will have homestays for the night.

Day 5 :

Forest Camp to High Camp (3600 m.)

Trek to High Camp early in the morning via a dense forest of rhododendron. On the way, we stop for a quick lunch at Low Camp. The view from Low Camp is superb, with Mount Machhapuchchhre visible up the valley. Then we move forward to High Camp. Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day 6 :

Exploration, back to Low Camp

5-hour round trek and exploration of Mardi Himal Base Camp/ Upper View Point (4200m). Great view of Annapurna Sanctuary, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchchhre, and Mt Fishtail Base Camp. Return back to Low Camp for Night's Stay.

Day 7 :

Low Camp to Lumre, drive to Pokhara

Trek downhill to Siddhing Village(1700m) for 6 to 7 hours. This place has a rich habitat of Himalayan Langoor, Barking Deer, Black Bear, and many varieties of pheasants like Danphe and Monal. A two-hour short trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara for 2 hours.
