Jomsom Muktinath Trek - 13 Days

Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a classic trek that takes you along some attractive regions in Annapurna like Poon Hill, Kagbeni, Muktinath, Kaligandaki gorge and Jomsom. You initiate your journey from Nayapul and pass various ethnic settlement villages in between. You continue walking under the shade of rhododendron and fir forest enjoying the vistas of Annapurna at its best. Poon Hill, a vantage point in the region offers the majestic views of Annapurna panorama! The sunrise view from this vantage point adds to the beauty of mountains and leaves you in awe. As you leave Poon hill, you follow your way along the dry and rough terrain to Kagbeni. A walk along the deepest gorge in the world – Kaligandaki gorge showers you with impressive views of Annapurna panorama and Dhaulagiri Himal.

Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a classical trek, offering several fantastic trails to explore, encircling the giant Annapurna Himal. Jomsom Muktinath Trek leads to the Holy Muktinath Temple, the place of nirvana. Jomson Muktinath trek allows access to the high mountains of the Himalayas within a reasonable time-frame and without ascending to extreme altitude. You can choose to fly straight to Jomsom (2713 m) and walk to Muktinath and then down or you can start your walk from Pokhara, then fly back. Either choice gives you a great trekking experience while you follow the major trading route linking the road-less high mountains with the commercial centers of the valley where you will share the trail with burros and pony caravans on their way to and from the Mustang region.
