Annapurna North base camp trek is newly open and off the beaten trekking trail in the Annapurna region.
The trail was founded when Maurice Herzog, a famous mountaineer tried to climb the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna I before 1950. When they found climbing Dhaulagiri difficult, they opted for Annapurna I from the northern side. The area is entirely wilderness and very interesting for those who wish to explore the beaten trekking trail in the Annapurna region.
