The Millennium Trek, also known as the Mid-hill Ridgeline Trek, lies in the south of Pokhara. This trek offers an opportunity to experience a local lifestyle, magnificent mountain views, villagers who open their doors and hearts to visitors in an area untouched by foreigners, and even domestic visitors.

The diverse landscape, including forests, ancient rice terraces, bird-watching opportunities, Millennium Cave with underground waterfalls, ancient temples, and historical forts (Kots) also adds another attraction to this trek.

An unusual trek, easily accessible from Pokhara and relatively easy can be undertaken by most age groups, with no altitude problems, and access roads from most of the trek in case of emergency.  The length of the trek can be adjusted to suit time needs.

Millennium Trek is the best way to explore the Mid Hill people, culture, customs, and way of living. During trekking, we can explore a great view of the Himalayas. On a clear day during the Millennium trek, we can see the long range of the Himalayas varying from Kanjirowa in western Nepal to Ganesh Himal close to Langtang.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pokhara to Rajasthal (1100 m.)

Day 2: Trek to Gharedi (980 m.)

Day 3: Trek to Pokharichhap (1444 m.)

Day 4: Trek to Pelkachaur (1439 m.)

Day 5: Trek to Budhakot (1709 m.)

Day 6: Trek to Kusum Bhanjyang  and drive to Pokhara.

Itinerary

Drive from Pokhara to Gachhepani and trek to Rajasthal. Stay overnight at Rajasthal.

Another day of trekking from Rajasthal to Gharedi. Stay overnight at Gharedi.

Trek from Gharedi to Pokharichhap.

Another day of trekking from Pokharichhap to Pelkachaur. Stay overnight at Pelkachaur.

Trek to Budhakot.

Trek to Kusum Bhanjyang via Manakamana Temple (1609 m.) and drive to Pokhara via Rambachha, Syangja.

Cost Includes:

  • Accommodation in a Tea House or Homestay.
  • Nepali Foods (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) along the trail.
  • Drinking water purification pills.
  • Well-experienced English-speaking Local Guide.
