Visitors trekking in the Khumbu region must now take a Trek Card. According to the Khumbu rural municipality, this card is mandatory for foreign tourists, this action has been made in order to make the safety system effective from 23rd Sept. 2022 for the trekkers visiting the Everest region.

Department of Immigration (DoI) has decided to extend the fee exemption scheme duration for the foreigners departing from Nepal.
