Visitors trekking in the Khumbu region must now take a Trek Card. According to the Khumbu rural municipality, this card is mandatory for foreign tourists, this action has been made in order to make the safety system effective from 23rd Sept. 2022 for the trekkers visiting the Everest region.
The Government of Nepal has decided to allow passenger flights to and from China, Turkey, and Qatar. The decision to this effect to be implemented from June 1. Likewise, regularly scheduled flights to India too will resume.
